1. About these terms

These terms apply to truelineprep.com and to TrueLine Prep preorders. TrueLine Prep is operated by , ("we"). By using the site or placing a preorder, you agree to these terms.

2. Unofficial and independent

TrueLine Prep is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or the American Welding Society (AWS). CHST and Construction Health and Safety Technician are certification marks of BCSP. CWI and Certified Welding Inspector are marks of AWS. We use these marks only to identify the exams our material helps you prepare for. All questions are original and are not actual exam questions. For official exam information, go to bcsp.org or aws.org.

3. Prototype status, accuracy, and no pass guarantee

The current diagnostics are a prototype. The questions have not yet been reviewed by a certified expert and may contain errors.
Our material is a study aid only. It is not professional, legal, safety, or engineering advice. On the job, always follow the applicable regulations, codes, and your employer's procedures.
We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam. Diagnostic scores do not predict exam results.

4. The free diagnostic

The diagnostic is free and provided "as is." Entering your email is optional.

5. Preorders

A preorder costs $49 USD, charged when you check out. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
Purchases are processed by Gumroad (gumroad.com), which resells our products as the merchant of record. Gumroad handles checkout, payment, receipts, applicable sales tax or VAT, and refunds. Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase.
You are preordering a product that is not built yet: a practice question bank for the exam you choose. The planned scope on the product page may change before launch.
Each product page shows a target launch date (CHST: ; CWI: ). The date shown when you preorder is the one that applies to you.
At launch, we email you. Your $49 is credited toward the launch price, so you pay the launch price minus $49 to get access. The planned launch price is for CHST and for CWI (so $100 or $130 more after your preorder); the final price is announced before launch. If the final price is higher than planned, you can still get a full refund.
A preorder is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

6. Refunds

Before launch: you can get a full refund of your $49 at any time. Email from the address you used to pay. No reason needed.
If launch is late: if we haven't launched within 30 days after the target launch date that applied to your preorder, we refund your $49 automatically, unless you tell us you want to keep your preorder. For the current target date of January 31, 2027, that means by March 2, 2027. If you keep it, you can still ask for a refund at any time before launch.
At launch: after we email you the launch notice, you can either complete your purchase or ask for a refund of your $49. If you do neither within 14 days of the launch notice, we refund your $49 automatically.
After launch: you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
If we cancel the product, we refund every preorder in full automatically.
Refunds are issued through Gumroad to your original payment method, for the full amount charged. You are refunded in the currency you were charged; if you were charged in USD, the amount in your local currency may differ because of exchange rates. Card refunds usually take 5–10 business days to appear. Gumroad may also issue refunds under its own policies.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.

7. Acceptable use

The material is for your personal study. Do not copy, resell, or redistribute it.
Do not send us actual exam questions or other confidential exam content. We will not use it.

8. Intellectual property

The questions, explanations, and site content are owned by us or our licensors. Exam names and marks belong to their owners, as described in section 2.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes will not reduce the refund rights that applied when you placed your preorder.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of .

This choice of law does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. If those laws give you more rights than these terms, those rights still apply.
